FAQ

What is Bookello Pulse?+

It's one system that runs your whole venue — guests ordering at the table, the kitchen and bar making the food, the cashier settling bills, and you watching it all from the back office. Everything is connected in real time, so an order placed at a table appears in the kitchen the moment it's sent.

How do guests order from their table?+

Every table has its own QR code. A guest scans it with their phone, the menu opens, and they send their order straight through — no waiting to catch a waiter's eye. Your waiters can still take orders on a device for anyone who'd rather order in person.

Do guests need to download an app?+

No. Scanning the table QR opens everything in their normal phone browser — no app store, no sign-up. They browse, order, and can follow their order's progress right there.

How do the kitchen and bar get the orders?+

Each order sorts itself to the right place automatically: food goes to the kitchen screen, drinks to the bar. Every ticket shows how long it's been waiting, so the busiest station always knows what to make next — no paper tickets, no shouting across the pass.

How do staff sign in?+

Waiters, kitchen, bar and cashier each sign in with a short PIN and land straight in their own screen, with nothing else to wade through. Owners and managers sign in with an email and password to reach the full dashboard.

Can I build and update my own menu?+

Yes — you're in control. Add dishes and drinks, group them into categories, set prices, add photos, and mark anything you've run out of as sold-out so guests can't order it. Changes show up on the guest menu straight away.

Can I set up my own floor plan and tables?+

You lay out your room by dragging tables into place to match how your floor really looks. From then on you can see every table's status at a glance — free, seated, ordering, or ready to pay.

How do bills and payments work?+

The cashier can pull up a table's running bill, take payment, and close it out. Refunds and voids are recorded to the cent and tied to the staff member who made them, so the numbers always add up and nothing goes missing quietly.

Does it handle takeaway and pickup orders?+

Yes. Pickup orders get a short collection code, and staff hand the order over only when the customer's code matches — so the right food always reaches the right person.

Can I track stock and hide sold-out items?+

You can keep counts on your items, and Pulse can mark them sold-out on its own as they run down — so guests only ever see what you can actually serve tonight.

Can I see how my venue is performing?+

The dashboard updates live as service happens: tonight's revenue, your best-selling items, and how each part of the floor is moving. You can check it from the office or your phone, without waiting for an end-of-day report.

Can I run more than one venue from one account?+

Yes. If you run more than one venue or brand, you can switch between them from the same login while keeping each one's menu, team, and numbers completely separate.

What happens if the internet drops?+

Stations keep taking orders and sync back up the moment the connection returns, so a shaky signal never stops service mid-rush.

How long does it take to get set up?+

Most venues are ready in minutes: add your menu, drop your tables onto the floor plan, and set up your team — then you can run tonight's service on Pulse.
